I'm looking into moving to the Davenport area and concerned about getting my daughter with Down syndrome into a good school and post high school program. (She will be starting high school next year). Any body know who I should contact or have any opinions? Thanks so much!

I am not a fan of Davenport school system. I live in Eldridge. We have two Down Syndrome kids that attend High School at North Scott. I will say this about Davenport, they do by far have the best special education department in this state. I would consider them only becomes you have a special needs child.

Thank you so much for your input! Which High Schools in your area (around the Quad Cities) do you think is the best for special needs kids? Any favorite, perhaps one that services more than one disability? Thanks again-
