again...using the term "that area" doesn't accurately specify anything when you use the term "Drake area". On the southwest side of the campus, you can find newly remodeled homes that have recently sold for $300k +. Is that going to happen in a "high crime area"? Do you think people buying those homes might have some disposable income a business owner might want to tap into?

Now if you're talking northeast of campus, you could probabaly buy an entire city block of those homes for $300k+.

Thanks for all of your replies. We have decided to locate in Glenwood and Council Bluffs for now. Glenwood will be opening first. Visit Anytime Fitness and type in Glenwood, Iowa. We will be looking for managers, so any interested/qualified people can use the contact info on that website. Thanks.

Default I know this is an old thread

I know that this is an old thread and I'm sure the person who asked this question no longer checks this but maybe someone else may see it. It would be nice if there were a gym on the west side of Council Bluffs IA. I have seen the Anytime fitness on the way East side of town. We have no gym on the west side of town. On the East you have of coarse Anytime fitness, The YMCA, Fit for Life, and Curves. We could surely use a gym on the west side.

Cedar Falls (UNI) does not need another gym. The university has a great one for students and I can think of three others...including two 24hr gyms.
