Good evening,

Anyone in the aviation maintenance career field? I will be retiring from the Air Force in the next few months with a background in aviation maintenance. I am trying to provide myself with as many options as possible upon retirement. My wife and I plan on moving back to Iowa as I am originally from the Lake City (NW part) area. I have my A&P and am putting feelers out on possible future careers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!!

Aaron

You had a lot of good suggestions from your previous posts. Are none to your liking? Offutt would be your best starting point.

Default Interested in Cedar Rapids?

There are A&P jobs at some of the aviation tech companies in Cedar Rapids, (Rockwell-Collins, Motorola, Bendix) if you were willing to look that far away.

All of these companies that make parts for aircraft require an A&P to certify airworthiness of the part, plus they often need to install prototype parts in actual aircraft for testing etc.

Just another avenue to consider besides the standard wrench-bending

Good luck with your search
