My family is planning to visit relatives in Hampton, IA this summer but we won't be able to stay with them except for the weekend. We want to visit the Franklin County Fair, which will be held July 17-21, 2019, so we might want to be in Hampton more than just the weekend. I saw on the Fair's website that they have a campground and the cost looks great - but we'd have to buy a tent - so I'd also like opinions on places that we could stay in addition to the campgrounds. (If we do get a tent, which kind would you suggest?) I know it's a lot to ask but I like to have a good framework for my trips because I have three kids so I want some things planned out ahead of time so I can relax. Thanks!
