Just heard the answer to my question, and the answer is NO, there's no $500 stimulus checks on the way. Just $13 extra per paycheck "for 95% of working Americans" or about $400 per year.

Hey, I'll take my 13 dollars a week for several years rather than a one-time "stimulus" check of 500 bucks.

I don't think the CEO's need a stimulus, they got theirs while GW was in office. Somewhere down the road were going to have to pay higher taxes to cover all this spending, hope Obama knows what he's doing. Is the bill geared for for long term improvements that will do us the most good, such as infrastructure, alternative energy, border security and help for small business ? Can we save some money by getting out of Iraq and not get into another mess in Pakistan ? McCain fought against passage of this bill, was he right, or just trying to get more tax cuts for the rich ?
