Okay. I can deal with that. Some of the comments i'm getting say run for the hills. I'm thinking like Davenport cannot be that bad, really. Thanks.

Dont listen to some of these people that make davenport sound like East St. Louis. Is there some crime in isolated areas, yes, but you'd be hard pressed to find a city of 100,000 plus that doesnt have a little crime. There's plenty of good affordable apartments in davenport, that are in safe neighborhoods.

As a newbie to Davenport, I'd say Davenport is a unique city, unlike any other town you'v ever lived. I used to be skeptical of comments like "run for the hills", but now I totally understand what they mean. Davenport has A LOT, I MEAN A LOT, of totally INSANE mad people crowering around the town. I have moved from Charlotte, NC - a haven for crime, but let me tell you, Davenport is equally if not more haven for crime, let alone MUCH MUCH more mad insane people wondering Davenport streets. Sometimes it frustrates me and I just wanna give up and move to Bettendorf - which is comparable to rest of US cities, predicatable and liveable.

And the stupid irony of Davenport is, as junkyard as the apartments are here, they would not allow pets, and they if they do, they wont allow dogs, and if they do, they wont allow > 25 lbs, and if they do, they wont allow any larger breeds. Absolutely crazy town.
