Humidity in IA isn't too moderate - maybe a bit slightly worse than MI. The temperature will be a little warmer which will make the winters more bearable and the summers a bit hotter. But in genereal I think the climate is good for 4-season.

You won't like my answer but honestly you have to visit places and see. There's no substitute for seeing what and where you will live everyday instead of reading about it on the internet. There's been houses looked great on the internet and you see them in person and you're like are you kidding me? Have to go through a house or apartment 2 or 3 times talk to the locals and neighbors and then you'll get a much better feel of what you're getting yourself into. Hope I have helped you?
