OP, you've gotten some good advice.

Here's a slightly different angle: maybe spend a bit more time researching where you would want to work when you graduate and then look into whether or not those companies are hiring and their financial outlooks. Also, you could contact their HR departments and ask what they think of hiring grads from the specific schools. That might help a bit in your decision.

The other suggestion is to scrounge up the money and come for a visit soon! Make sure that you are going to be able to deal with Midwest winters. I know some transfers from the South who can't wait to get out of here, but I also know others who are so happy to finally be making a living wage that they just cuddle into their parkas and smile as their savings accounts grow.

Winter is not forever, either. We're just having an especially brutal one this year.

I encourage people to read the dates of the first post before posting to 5 year old posts. Plus why aren't these posts deleted after 6 months or a year? Especially when they say I'll be moving in the next few weeks. lol

Because somebody down the road might read an old post and get the answer to their question without having to re-post it.

I personal prefer fewer posts that are revived from time-to-time to having the same topic come up in a different post frequently. Go to the Automotive thread and check out the number of "I don't understand why some people drive trucks" and "I hate people who drive Subaru" threads to see what I mean.

That being said, yeah, check the date before you reply to a specific question. If it's been more than a week or so the person probably already has the answer or no longer needs it.
