Hi All! I know I haven't been here in awhile. I've finally set a date to move to Davenport. I'll be hitting the road from Detroit, Michigan. I'm very optimistic about this move. It's a fresh start for me and my two lil girls. A homecoming for me. I'm still looking for a job in Customer Service or retail. I'll be staying with family until I get a job and find my way around. Any cool family activities and places to see in Iowa State? You know Attractions? Coming from Michigan there's always tons of things to do. I like to keep my family occupied with plenty of fun and healthy activities. Thanks. Can't wait to see "Welcome to IOWA" on the road sign!

Well, if you or your daughters like baseball, the Quad Cities River Bandits are at home quite a few nights in late mid-late April and early May. Its one of the best baseball stadiums in the country to relax and watch a game in as the river rolls by past the outfield fence.

May 8th and 9th is the Beaux Arts Fair, near the Figge Art Museum downtown. Its always worth checking out as well.

The last weekend in May is the Quad City Criterium bike race throughout Downtown rock Island. After that, there's basically festivals and events every weekend for the rest of the summer, so you won't have much trouble finding stuff to do.

Hey Thanks! We love Basketball! Do they still have the "BIX" I think it's called? I haven't been home in a long time.

Yes, they still have the BIX race and jazz festival.

I would love to be moving back to the Quad Cities! I envy you.
Hopefully I will be able to move back someday too.

The River Bandits have fireworks after every friday night home game too. Just park down there anywhere near the stadium to see them.

Used to be if you waited until after the 6th inning you could just walk in for free. It's been a few years since I've been to a game.
