Do not know if you will get this since it is months later but I will send anyway. Onawa is a nice little town, if you keep with the right people. Used to be alot of meth there as with lots of places in Iowa, but stay away from those people and you will be fine. I lived there for yrs. Nice community.

I have lived here since 1979. I love our town .It is the right size for me. I have been very happy to raise my four kids here and am proud to say they received a great education. Our town has a hospital, dentist, eye care office, movie theatre, along with stores, all the basics plus we are near two large cities. We have nice parks and open spaces for recreation, newly expanded library, a golf course and a large community center. I have felt safe and secure here. I have had great friendships. I enjoy Blue Lake. It is minutes away and the Loess Hills, are gorgeous, under aprreciated by most locals. Hope that helps.

My grandparents used to live in Onawa, and I have a lot of family in that area. Can't say that I'd want to live there, but it's mostly because I like living in Omaha so much.

As far as small towns in Iowa go, Onawa has a lot to offer.
