Is Cedar Rapids a good city to live in? I would like to learn more about it. My company has a job opening there. I'm curious.

Well, "good" is pretty subjective. But Cedar Rapids does have some nice qualities. It's a very safe city, and the schools are great. It's definitely a nice place to raise a family.

That said, it's not the most exciting place. I'm guessing from your profile that you live in Portland, and if that's true, you would have to adjust to a slower-paced lifestyle. Cedar Rapids does have cultural events, concerts, and sports events, but fewer of them, and on a much smaller scale than you are probably used to.

I would use the search feature on this forum to look up more information, there are plenty of useful threads on Cedar Rapids around here.

Thanks for the information. I think I'm going to stay put here in Portland for the time being. I love Iowa, but this isn't the right time to move yet.
