So i finally made it here! It was a long trip from Michigan. I've been here for 4 weeks and already I have a Job. Yay! But i haven't started yet. I'm looking for a 3 bdrm 2 bath house to rent and i'm having no luck. Any one looking for a goog tenant or no someone let me know! It's s great to be back home. I feel like my real life is beginning. Thank God!

Now enjoy being harassed by cops and the Davenport Police Department. Enjoy miserable weather. Enjoy a miserable state. There's a reason tons of people transfer out of Iowa and the states population is low. I just moved here and cops harass me and nobody talks to me because I'm not an inbred cornbread Iowa mother****er. Enjoy ignorance and narrow minded people for the most part. Sorry you made the same mistake I did moving to Iowa. Thankfully the mistake is correctable by me leaving.

Wholesomeness is a way of life. It has nothing to do with where you live. I grew up in Iowa. Lived in DPort for 10 years. Went to Lincoln Elementary, Washington Elementary, and Sudlow Jr High. Leaving in 1978. I lived on Arlington Ave & 13th street. Not a bad neighborhood when I was growing up. Lincoln school was a very tough school back in the day, but I learned LOT from attending public schools. Crime and drug habits come from the home. Not from the schools or even the neighborhoods. I loved my neighborhood and loved the diversity among us. People will be people wherever you go. Some are awesome - some aren't. Live and learn, love everyone, be positive, and enjoy the beauty Davenport has to offer. Yes, even south of Locust and east of Brady. My mother worked with all the kids in that area. She was well educated and very much respected in the community. She feared nothing and taught us the same. We never once had a problem living in that area of town. It's beautiful and has a wonderful history. Educate yourself and your children about other cultures, food, and people. There is such a thing in Iowa. Yes we were cornfed. We were also fed Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Mexican, Israeli, French, Italian, Thai, Soul Food, Russian, German, and Greek food! Life is what you make of it.

When you get harrassed what reason do the police give you? Why is it do people not talk to you (other than you are not inbred)?
