Islam is not a mercy to mankind, neither is Christianity a salvation to mankind. Both have brought death and destruction into this world in the name of religion. Both have attempted to turn their backs on their violent history.
Both Islam and Christianity only accept the Hebrew scripture when they want it to prove what they believe. Or as in Islam they say it is corrupted. In Christianity they say it is the "old covenant". You cherry pick only for what you believe and you cannot have it both ways.
