Muslims don't just fight for religious regions... A lot of violence is political at the root of it. When the PLO had both Muslim and Christian Palestinian Arabs working together to attack Israeli targets---was that simply for religious reasons just for the Muslims involved?

Should add there were also Palestinian Jews attacking Israeli targets at that time. They still participate in protests.

What constitutes an Islamic country? One that is majority Muslim or one that is ruled under Islamic rule? At this time there are no countries under Islamic Rule although some claim to be. But they are essentially modified secularism.
The country that comes closest to being Islamic is Indonesia. Currently there are 47 nations that are majority Muslim. Not a single one is under an Islamic government. Iran claims to be under Islamic rule, but they are under Shii rule and follow the Ayatoullah. The Ayatoullah does not represent or speak for Islam. You can check out a list of them at this link:
