I live in an religious diverse area. I noticed lately that Muslims (unlike observant Jews) still eat at food courts, restaurants (non-Islamic), take picture with Christmas trees and even nativity scenes! Some Muslims even go inside church for pictures, etc. They simply do not care or feel offended about Christian holidays and culture.
Is it that Muslims are allowed, more tolerated, etc. than Orthodox Jews? Orthodox Jews stay away from non-Jewish religious stuff as much as possible.

How do you know they are Muslims?
Not all Muslims are Mideastern and not all Mideasterners are Muslim. It is quite difficult to tell by clothing who is a Muslim in the USA. As this is a melting pot of religions. Some ethnic groups often mistaken for Muslims are: Yazidia, Druze, Armenian Orthodox Christians, Coptic Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, Arabic Jews, Palestinian Christians,
But you are correct the majority of us are tolerant of other religions. but most Muslims avoid having their pictures taken, avoid eating in restaurants and Avoid going into a Church that may have Statues or Crosses.
The women wear headscarf, some niqab, while men wear either regular clothes, or Islamic clothing with facial hair and speak Arabic. I work in retail and know that they are Muslims. Yesterday I saw a lady with headscarf taking picture with the Christmas tree, then she walked in to the store and asked her where she came from and told me from Pakistan and that she was a Muslim.

Muslims don't care in general
Very few of us speak Arabic. Less than 10% of the World's Muslims are Arabic and in the USA the Majority of Arabs are not Muslim. In the USA if you come across someone speaking Arabic there is more of a chance they are not Muslim than being Muslim.
I do wish more of us could be recognized just by Appearance, but that is seldom the case in the USA.
While most of us are tolerant of other people's beliefs we usually try to avoid any appearance of participating in their religious practices.
