Just to note, without even reading that or going into details, we call that ultra orthodox Judaism. Conservative Judaism is a specific movement in Judaism that is actually centrist between Reform and Orthodoxy.
You might actually want to learn more about Judaism before posting more about it.

and btw, most Ultra O are more moderate than folks in Mea shearim (who are generally opposed to the state of israel, btw) and the article confuses modern/zionist orthodox with ultra orthodox.

It does boggle the mind in this day and age . . . even those with education adhere to such nonsense. It is very depressing.
