All I need to know about the Koran is, in it, Muhammad claims to know for a fact that Jesus was not the son of God, and that he never suffered, died, and came back to life. That is all I need to know that he is the false prophet antichrist prophesized in Revelations.

Saudi police stormed a prayer meeting in Jiddah, the nation’s second-largest city, and beat and arrested 42 Ethiopian Christians. The Christians are reportedly being tortured in prison.

Heres the report.....Washington, D.C. (December 17, 2011)
Saudi security forces arrested 42 Ethiopian Christians at a prayer gathering in Jeddah on Thursday. The location of the detained Christians is unknown.

On December 15, Saudi police and security officers raided an evening prayer meeting at the home of an Ethiopian Christian in the Al-Safa district of Jeddah. Those attending the service were reportedly beaten and threatened before being arrested

Security officials broke [into] the house and captured… beat and threatened them for death… They divided the men and the women and they are torturing them [in prison],” an Ethiopian and Eritrean Christian immigrant community living in Europe wrote in a desperate appeal for help to the ambassadors of European embassies in Riyadh on Friday.

While I do not condone any physical mistreatment of them. I am just curious as to why Ethiopian Christians would have been in Jiddah to begin with. The al-Saffa district is an expatriate area for displaced Muslims from war torn Nations, Essentially a Muslim refugee area until they can be relocated in a safe region. It is a government funded district specifiacally for aiding displaced Muslims. The Ethiopians would have had to present them selves as being displaced Muslims to get free housing there. Saudi is not an ideal location for any person to migrate too. Jobs are scarce, it is difficult to earn a living and for a non-native Born National it is impossible to live without outside income, unless they are expatriates seeking refuge.

Also they should have known that outside the non-Muslim sections non-Islamic Religious worship is prohibited. Saudi does make it quite clear the country is a Monarchy, not a democracy and there is no freedom of religion except in specific areas. To worship outside those areas is seen as unwanted proselytizing. When visiting in a foreign country it is wise to either obey the laws or keep out. Especially if they are visitors and not citizens.

I do hope that the stories of physical mistreatment are exaggerated and not as the current reports seem to indicate. I do disagree with any corporal punishment for those Missionaries, but at the same time I do not think they should have been blatantly breaking the law of the Nation especially not pretending to be Muslims by living in al-Safaa. If they wanted to pray as they choose they should have done so in one of the numerous Christian Districts.

This is amazing when you look at the whole picture with your added information, not to mention the potential for relatives hearing about this in these apparent news flash's.

If what your saying is true and I don't think there is a reason to doubt or at least it must be fairly accurate, some questions automatically arise.

How could 42 people fit in one house which is designated to basically a last resort help the poor accomadation?...so now the location needs to be questioned as well the setting of arrest.

My guess is the Christians were probably round up in an area which they had no business being in and were caught trying to take advantage of a hand out.
If thats true another worry is how many could have been arrested for suspicion of being Christian...or simply visiting...passing by for a multitude of reasons....visiting some Muslim folks perhaps?
How many may have not known or been desperate
In other words it seems that going to all these Countries is a bad idea...If you become suspect or are not liked by someone you could be reported and arrested.

It's actually very logical. I say that about every uneducated, illiterate, murdering, pedophile that lies about Jesus, steers people away from God, claims to know better what the first 4 books of the NT says, and claims to be a prophet. It's all there in Revelations.

It is as most of the flats in al-Jafaa are one romm. 4 at the most. Now there is a possibility the Ethiopians were Oil Field workers visiting in al-jafaa. Most physical work in Saudi is done by foreigners. I can not think of any private apartment in al-Safaa that could even fit 42 people in. It is possible for a Muslim live in al-Safaa and not be an expatriate rents are low cost there. 1000 SAR=$267 USD--100 SAR=$26.70 Some examples can be found here:

expatriates.com - Jeddah - Apartments/Flats/Houses - BIG 4 ROOMS FAMILY APPARTMENT FOR RENT 24 HRS WATER NEAR TO HIGHWAY (http://www.expatriates.com/cls/14960245.html - broken link)

My error it does appear al-Safa has opened up to renting to non-Muslims also. Unless the only Filipino's in Saudi are Muslim

expatriates.com - Jeddah - Apartments/Flats/Houses - 2 Big Room For Pinoy (http://www.expatriates.com/cls/14957472.html - broken link)

expatriates.com - Jeddah - Apartments/Flats/Houses - SAR 700 / month - SR 700 Room Available Nice Clean Sharing Apartment (http://www.expatriates.com/cls/14939773.html - broken link)

al-Safa is extremly over crowded and to live there is going to be very tight with no privacy. Shared kitchens, Bathrooms etc with other families. Even very little privacy if you manage to have a private bedroom. Which is about all you will get at best in al-Safa.

i can not understand how 42 Christians could even find a spot for a prayer service there. Place the entire district is segregated with the women being in one part of the district and men in another with no intermixing of genders permitted. Exception being some areas with apartments are family apartments were one family can live in.

the whole story is not making any sense. I can not believe that a group of Christians would be dumb enough to try to conduct a prayer meeting in al-Safa and think they would be unnoticed. Would be like Muslims trying to practice for Hajj in Vatican City.

The only thing I can think of is they set out to be arrested and bring world attention to Saudi.

But I do not agree they should be physically punished, But, Saudi follows Hanbali shariah and I follow Hanafi. We do differ over what punishments can be used and for what.

There is no "paradise" to enter, unless one really likes theme parks.
