I start this thread to see who agrees with Allah type creation, and who disagrees. And why? So anti-creationists, here is your chance to weigh in on another type of creation. Which is basically the same as YEC. Except different god.
Anti-creationists reject the idea that any god created the Earth.
No creation myth is more valid than others.
Do you understand?
I'm with Padgett, old world, young world, what does that have to do with your salvation..Why waste time trying to prove or disprove something for the sake of arguement?

Because arguing is the only way to 'resolve' matters of faith?

Could it be that the love for religion has the same root as the love for money?
Is a religion the same as spiritual currency?
You could be on to something there. There is definitely a feeling that the rules and regulations of a particular religious organization are more important than the teachings of a fruitful and wonderful way of life with a Heavenly Father. Yep, I think Love of Religion, would qualify. Support the religion and you can forget about the people that live next door.
My mind was also blown. So much so that I eventually had to take a break from this forum.

I guess I was struggling with this conundrum during my short absent from the forum: It made me sad that so many people were arguing about their love for their beliefs (religion).
This is why I started the thread Does Love need a religion?.
An organized format that's called a religion? No. Love doesn't need that.
But some people seem to need the security that such an organization means. I don't understand it for myself. I think it may be some sort of deep seated need to belong to something. Perhaps it's a very good thing that organized religion exists. What would such people do without it? Maybe the day will come when it isn't needed. I don't know, but for now??? I don't see how we can do without it. There just isn't enough Love in this world to go around.

So a religion is nothing but an extended family?
Many people feel this need to belong to a bigger group, simply because they believe that there is safety in numbers.
I always found the belief of safety in numbers odd, it reduces the individual to nothing more than a common herd-animal.
I found doing good more important than being part of a large group.
I mean the Nazis in their prime where a very large group (or family), but they were still evil, thus unsafe to me.
