I do not doubt the majority of the "Honor Killings" are by Muslims but nearly all occur in Pakistan and in the ones in other nations very often the perpetrators are Punjab from Pakistan.

In the link somebody forgot to mention something about the honor killings in Iraq While it does mention they are predominatly among the Kurds,

Quote:
At least 27 women have died in so-called “honour killings” over the past four months in northern Kurdish Iraq, an official from the regional government said Monday.[7]
November 2007
In a recent interview with the Arabic daily Asharq-Al-Awsat of 9th December 2008, Suzan Shihab, a member of the parliament in Iraqi Kurdistan, speaks of the alarming increase in the level of violence against women in Iraqi Kurdistan and the laudable laws passed by the Parliament to limit or curb this violence. She speaks of a very sombre reality; of 100 deaths a month due to violence, a half of which were due to “honour” killing and the rest was due to fatal burning, some of which were self-inflicted.[8]
2008
The United Nations estimates that at least 255 women died in honour-related killings in Kurdistan, home to one fifth of Iraqis, in the first six months of 2007 alone.[9]
May 2008
According to statistics provided by the Kurdistan Regional Government, 59 women were murdered in the first six months of this year. But local non-governmental organizations say the rate is much higher.[10]
October 2010
However, between September and December 2007, twenty seven(27) women were reported murdered in alleged honor killings, and ninety-seven (97) tried to commit suicide for similar motives in Iraq. The number of reports of women attempting to kill themselves increased from thirty-six (36) in 2005 to one hundred thirty-three (133) in 2006; the number of women murdered for honor offenses went from four (4) to seventeen (17) for the same period (IRIN 2007, 2). The UN estimates that violence against women in the autonomous Iraqi region of Kurdistan has increased by eighteen percent (18%) between March and May of 2007 (United Nations 2007, 9).[11]
The article forgot to mention the Kurds are nearly all Yazidi or Christian and not Muslim

The article also forgot to mention in the Honor killings by Arabs in Israel that not all the Arabs are Muslim. A large number are Druse and honor killings among the Arab Druze are very common

Such as:

Quote:
When news spread through the Druse section of Shfaram that Samar Hasson had been found hanging from a tree in a local olive grove, drivers on the streets began honking their horns. "Everybody was celebrating, it was beautiful," recalled a young man who works at the Hasson clan's auto parts shop in this hillside, Muslim-Christian-Druse town northeast of Haifa. "She caused her family a lot of problems," nodded a co-worker. Aside from the family members who buried her, no one knows where the body of the 23-year-old Druse woman lies.

You are trying to manipulate the numbers.

Nobody has accurate numbers.

If you look at the links one suggests 5000 honor killings annually with 1000 in Pak
another suggests 5000 happen in Pak alone.

Regardless the 90% number of reported ones holds true with muslims.

Blaming Christians is pretty weak, there is no clause in Christianity for killing your children

It is mentioned in Jewish text, but even Jews have outgrown this text,it and do not commit honor killings.

Regardless the other 10% is mostly Hindu,

Yes, you will always find an exception, but the numbers overrule any other excuse.

I am not denying that at least 90% of honor killings are by Muslims. what I am trying to point out is the vast majority are by Punjabs in or from Pakistan.

Also pointing out that wikiislam sort of forgot to mention that the Kurds are usually not Muslim or that the Arabs in israel doing the Honor killings are Druze or that In Jordan the Honor Killings are often among Christian Arabs.

Loophole halts justice for honor killing victims in Jordan

AMMAN, Jordan — Batool Haddad, a Christian girl from the northern Jordanian village of Khirbet Wahadneh, kept relatively quiet about her interest in Islam, mentioning it probably only to her sister, who also kept it to herself.
Summary⎙ Print Jordan has seen a surge in "honor" killings of women, with nine recorded this year already.
Author Elizabeth Whitman Posted May 9, 2014

But when Haddad converted to Islam after attending a lecture by a Saudi preacher, according to local reports, she told her sister, who this time told their father, who told his brother. On April 30, the two men took Haddad to a local forest.

Beating her first with a stick, they then used a 40-by-50-centimeter (15-by-20-inch) rock, fracturing and crushing her skull and killing her, said Ali Shotar, the forensic pathologist who examined her body. She was about 22 years old.

I know what you are trying to point out, but the numbers say 20% are from Pax.

That leaves 80% elsewhere, and still they are almost all muslims.

The allowance is from the Islamic text, regardless of who does it.

Woodrow, I doubt this would qualify as an honor killing.

And even if it did, it falls into the tiny percentage commited by non muslims.

You are using the exception as though it is the rule.

At the moment I can not fine the Stats that reported over 80% of honor killings take place in Pakistan.

Until I can find it again I will accept your figures.
