Any Islamic teachings that positively affects non-muslims? (verses, prayer, human)

For the last decade or so, and oh especially the last year many non-muslims have suffered dearly as a result of some extreme beliefs in Islam.
What about the opposite? What Islamic beliefs, if any, should affect the rest of us in a positive manner?
Like in Christianity & Judaism they have a belief that is as EQUALLY important as serving their God, which is to love their neighbor as themselves. even if that neighbor is a complete stranger from a different tribe & religion.
Yeah, Christians have 'turn the other cheek', 'love thy neighbor', 'forgive those who trespass against you', 'do unto others as you'd have them do unto you'
I was also wondering if Islam believes in the 10 commandments being from God, since they believe Moses was a prophet of God.
And do they believe in the teachings of Jesus or have the replace all that with 'Kill The infidel"

the reason why respect, tolerance & equality survived and flourished in christian countries. they have some really good ideals that outweighs the bad qualities of their religion.

Surah 4
29. O you who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves unjustly except it be a trade amongst you, by mutual consent. And do not kill yourselves (nor kill one another). Surely, Allah is Most Merciful to you.
30. And whoever commits that through aggression and injustice, We shall cast him into the Fire, and that is easy for Allah.
31. If you avoid the great sins which you are forbidden to do, We shall remit from you your (small) sins, and admit you to a Noble Entrance (i.e. Paradise).
32. And wish not for the things in which Allah has made some of you to excel others. For men there is reward for what they have earned, (and likewise) for women there is reward for what they have earned, and ask Allah of His Bounty. Surely, Allah is Ever All-Knower of everything.
33. And to everyone, We have appointed heirs of that (property) left by parents and relatives. To those also with whom you have made a pledge (brotherhood), give them their due portion (by Wasiya - wills, etc.). Truly, Allah is Ever a Witness over all things.
34. Men are the protectors and maintainers of women, because Allah has made one of them to excel the other, and because they spend (to support them) from their means. Therefore the righteous women are devoutly obedient (to Allah and to their husbands), and guard in the husband's absence what Allah orders them to guard (e.g. their chastity, their husband's property, etc.). As to those women on whose part you see ill-conduct, admonish them (first), (next), refuse to share their beds, (and last) beat them (lightly, if it is useful), but if they return to obedience, seek not against them means (of annoyance). Surely, Allah is Ever Most High, Most Great.
35. If you fear a breach between them twain (the man and his wife), appoint (two) arbitrators, one from his family and the other from her's; if they both wish for peace, Allah will cause their reconciliation. Indeed Allah is Ever All-Knower, Well-Acquainted with all things.
36. Worship Allah and join none with Him in worship, and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, Al-Masakin (the poor), the neighbour who is near of kin, the neighbour who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. Verily, Allah does not like such as are proud and boastful;

"It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards East or West; but it is righteousness to believe in God and the Last Day and the Angels, and the Book, and the Messengers; to spend of your substance, out of love for Him, for your kin, for orphans for the needy, for the wayfarer, for those who ask; and for the freeing of captives; to be steadfast in prayers, and practice regular charity; to fulfill the contracts which you made; and to be firm and patient in pain (or suffering) and adversity and throughout all periods of panic. Such are the people of truth, the God-conscious." (2:177)

What about the 10 commandments and the teachings of Jesus?
The 10 commandments are in the Torah and also apply to Muslims. They are reiterated in the Qur'an.
Actually their never were 10 commandments. What Christians call 10 commandments are the title headinds of the Mitzvat (613 commandments)
But the 10 commandments are reaffirmed in the Qur'an but not in any specific order.
There is no God except one God (47:19)
There is nothing whatsoever like unto Him (42:11)
Make not God's name an excuse to your oaths (2:224)
Be kind to your parents if one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not
a word of contempt nor repel them but address them in terms of honor. (17:23)
As for the thief, male or female, cut off his or her hands, but those who repent
After a crime and reform shall be forgiven by God for God is forgiving and kind. (5:38 - 39)
They invoke a curse of God if they lie. (24:7) Hide not the testimony (2:283)
If anyone has killed one person it is as if he had killed the whole mankind (5:32)
Do not come near adultery. It is an indecent deed and a way for other evils. (17:32)
Do good to your parents, relatives and neighbors. (4:36) Saying of the Prophet
Muhammad (P) "One of the greatest sins is to have illicit sex with your neighbors wife".
When the call for the Friday Prayer is made, hasten to the remembrance of God
and leave off your business. (62:9)
Yes , the teachings of Jesus(as) are to be followed by Muslims as we are to obey all the Prophets.
However if you look in the NT and remove the duplications you will find very little of the Teaching's of Jesus(as) exist. What does exist and quoted in his words are found in the 4 Gospels, all of which are basically versions of Matthew. A full 2/3 of the NT is the teachings of Paul' Much of the remainder is a back ground leading up to Jesus(as) a very small part of the Bible is the teaching of Jesus(as) about the only parts are the Lord's Prayers, which in today's English has little resemblance to the Aramaic
Surah al-Fatiha is much closer to being the message of the Lord's Prayer than what is currently found in the Bibles.
1. In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
2. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).
3. The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful.
4. The Only Owner (and the Only Ruling Judge) of the Day of Recompense (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)
5. You (Alone) we worship, and You (Alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).
6. Guide us to the Straight Way
7. The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger nor of those who went astray
The Sermon on the Mount probably contains much of what Jesus(as) actually taught.
Outside of that there is very little of the teachings of Jesus(as) in the Bible, and none of what Jesus(as) actually taught contradicts the Qur'an

The Golden rule is also found in the Qur'an and Ahadith

It is a part of every religious teachings. Some said, it is is not in Islam.

“Whoever wishes to be delivered from the fire and to enter Paradise…should treat the people as he wishes to be treated.” (Sahih Muslim)
“None of you truly believes until he wishes for his brother what he wishes for himself” (Forty Hadith-Nawawi)
“None of you is a believer if he eats his full while his neighbour hasn’t anything.” (Musnad)
“Do unto all men as you would wish to have done unto you; and reject for others what you would reject for yourselves.” (Abu Dawud)
“Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you.” (Farewell Sermon)
“There should be neither harming nor reciprocating harm.” (Ibn- Majah)

the idea of the golden rule is to give away the kind of treatment that you expect for yourself.
otherwise you can toss a homosexual off a building while believing that its "good" for him. but the idea itself terrifies you if it happens to you.

thats what i'm talking about. more muslims would take that seriously if its enshrined in your holy book.
