The small ruby everyone wants has fallen out on the road.
Some think it is east of us, others west of us.

Some say, "among primitive Earth rocks, " others "in the deep waters"

Kabir's instinct told him it was inside, and what it was worth,
and he wrapped it up carefully in his heart cloth.

Kabir

So many do not know what on earth
any of these mean...
but, some of us that dive deep into meditation,
sitting in silence for hours...
know the secrets that are within us.
Hidden from the book readers...
All is inside.

Beg for Love.
Consider this burning, and those who
burn, as gifts from the Friend.
Nothing to learn.
Too much has already been said.
When you read a single page from
the silent book of your heart,
you will laugh at all this chattering,
all this pretentious learning.

Not only do the thirsty seek water,
The water too thirsts for the thirsty.

"The moving Finger writes: and, having writ,
Moves on; not all your Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all your Tears wash out a Word of it"

-The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam.

I have lived on the lip
of insanity, wanting to know reasons,
knocking on a door. It opens.
I’ve been knocking from the inside!

A person prays for some relief,
but to no avail,
All seems hopeless, no escape
and then
one drop of nectar changes it all.
A cruel trick to create
something so beautiful
and
something so terrible.
Are these the two poles poets & seers have spoken of?
Must we swing 'twixt the two?

Now, I understand this completely...
the nectar that is a mystery to most, blissful Amrita Nectar of the Gods,
one drop that transforms.
And the swinging between breaths...the middle ground that is between the poles of Duality. Thank you.

"The darkness of night is coming along fast, and
the shadows of love close in the body and the mind.
Open the window to the west, and disappear into the air inside you.

Near your breastbone there is an open flower.
Drink the honey that is all around that flower.
Waves are coming in:
there is so much magnificence near the ocean!

Listen: Sound of big seashells! Sound of bells!

Kabir says: Friend, listen, this is what I have to say:
The Guest I love is inside of me!"
