The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him) direct his followers to go to a fair christian ruler .
persecutions and hurts started against the followers of prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing of Allah be upon him)
and the situation got so extremely grave and no longer tolerable in the middle of the fifth year of prophethood
the prophet permitted some of his followers to seek asylum there in Abyssinia because he knew that
the king of Abyssinia was a fair christian ruler who would not wrong any of his subordinates.
What you are failing to address is that the Jesus in Islam, is not the same Jesus in Christianity.
The only thing the same is the Name.
Muslims do this all the time, where they claim, see he is here also, and loved, but then reading about the Islamic Jesus, reveals a completely different person.
Good post. I have read the story of Jesus and Maryam in The Qur'an several times, which I loved it so much. In Arabic of course .
when the vessel becomes as important as the message it holds; the message has become "sealed" from public view. The English word is Idol. We have the same problem with bible thumpers.

And a serious problem with the Jesus in islam, is that it is used by muslims to say, see, we believe in jesus, he is one of our favorite prophets. and leave it there.
What they do not tell you is that they completely re-wrote the story of jesus, creating a new charactor entirely, totally abstract to the Jesus in the NT.

Many perhaps most of us are pretty Much in Agreement with Jesus(as) as described in the 4 Gospels but do highly disagree with Jesus(as) as portrayed in the Pauliist scriptures.
the first problem is that jesus was written into islam as a muslim, before muslims existed.
His diciples are also muslims.
This alone should give you an indication it is a phony story.
Except Islam and Muslims have always esixted. Islam is not the name of a specific religion although it has come to be thought it is. It is the Arabic meaning to submit to God(swt) A person who performs Islam is a Muslim.
In different eras different things were done as acts of submission. While Jesus and His disciples probably did not do the 5 pillars as we know them to be, they did submit to the one God and by doing so performed the act of Islam.
Islam and muslims did not exist until the 8th century, and nobody can put their finger on exactly when.
There is nothing in all of recorded history, anywhere on earth, that shows muslims to exist before then,
No, there were no muslims during the time of Jesus.
Religions existed long before Jesus, and there are many religions, many rites, and services, that the Judeo/Christian religions can trace their origin to, but they were not the same religion.
