well......actually....... it wasn't carried by james, it was toted around by peter, petrus, the rock, so named not because of his steadfastness, but because he was absolutely as dense as a brick, never got a single idea right, ergo, "petrus" This ancient relic later became known as the holy sony!! It and the grail were placed in the cave of life together!!! How else do you think indiana jones got that sacred and holy footage of ole' "whats-his-name" drinking from the wrong mug???? Every one knows videotape doesn't last that long, How can you deny another of gods miracles?????? HEATHENS!!!!!!!

Yes.

John 15:26-27... "But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning."

The Holy Spirit inspired the men to write the epistles. The Holy Spirit also guides us into all truth as we read it.

John 16:13..."Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: fore he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."

He has shown us, in the Bible. We don't need the Quran, or the Book of Mormon, or the Watchtower...only His Word.

his word is to follow the the next prophet after him

And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (John 14:16-17, KJV)

Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. (John 16:7KJV)

This means that "the Comforter" is someone who would come after the departure of Jesus. In fact "the Holy Spirit" was active according to the Old Testament as well as the Gospels, before the departure of Jesus. So the predicted "Comforter" was someone other than the Holy Spirit.

And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. (John 16:8-13, KJV)

With all due respect, moonsun, you and the site you got this answer from is wrong. The Comforter spoken of was/is the Holy Spirit. He spoke through the writers of the NT.

moonsun, if you are looking for truths regarding what Jesus did or did not say, it would be best to actually read the accounts in the Bible....rather than trying to figure it out through a Hollywood movie. If you need any direct scripture links that will let you read for yourself, instead of someone else telling you what they think Jesus said, please feel free to pm me.
