Daily Bible Study - In the beginning was the Word
Why did they accuse Jesus of blasphemy for using "I am" the way that He did? Because it was "before Abraham" that "I AM" appeared to Moses (most translations use all-capitals for the "I AM")
"And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you." (Exodus 3:14 KJV)
But Jesus Christ wasn't a blasphemer, nor a liar. Jesus Christ never sinned. He spoke the Truth when He used "I am." What gave Him the right to righteously and truthfully say that in the way that He did?
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made ... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:1-3,14 KJV)
As I read this on the page linked to above, I thought, "why do we call red, red? I mean it's like, why is that.
Also I can see in reading the text above, why some will refer to Christ as God, instead of Christ...God's Son.
What I understand, is God made His Son. His Son was born a flesh man. God did not come here, God sent His Son here. In the trinity then we also have the Holy Spirit which is Jesus Christ's spirit who will reside in our hearts, if we let Him in.
This is also what I believe and this is what is in my heart to believe since June 9th 1970; I've known my heart along time and it hasn't lied to me yet. I Am, in that Christ's Holy Spirit rests in me as He rests in other's who also believe that God made them as well. I Am not God, however I am one with Him through the Holy Spirit of Christ.
Those who believe in the trinity accept that the Son has a name, but never wonder if the Father has a name?
Actually He does
These are some names and titles of The Father
Yahweh( Is God's personal name), Abba( Father), El Shaddai (The all Sufficient One), Hayotzer (Creator), El Elyon(The most High God), Elohim (God), Everlasting Father, Hagaon ( The excellent one), HaShofet (The Judge) and many more.

"god" is a noun. "God" is a name given to that noun by someone unknown along the way. Personally I like "I Am" because it could be my name, too...it is every living being on the planet's name.
I think the word god is just a generic term for any supernatural entity and I see that others have given the names of specific gods from different cultures. I don't think I've ever heard anyone use the name Yahweh for the Christian god but I guess it's only natural that he would have a name just like any of the other gods. Christians in general seem to call the god they believe in "God" with a capital G as opposed to Yahweh. I've never once heard my Christian relatives use the name Yahweh but they talk about God all the time, it's just a cultural thing.

I often wonder why don't people think before they write.
