All societies are subject to terrorist attacks. The degree of tolerance for such actions is, in large part, evidence of how civilized that society is. This is how the United states deals with such criminals.

Christian militia accused of plotting to kill cops - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100329/ap_on_re_us/us_fbi_raids - broken link)

Quote:
Nine alleged members of a Christian militia group........were charged Monday with plotting to kill a police officer and slaughter scores more by bombing the funeral — all in hopes of touching off an uprising against the U.S. government.
And after they were arrested,

Quote:
Seven of the defendants in court in Michigan asked to be represented by public defenders. The eighth had a public defender appointed in Indiana.
we ensure they have fair and honest trials........

When Islamic states do the same, I will respect their faith.

Good post. When our nation comes under attack from within its own borders, regardless of whether the attackers are religious or secular, conservative or liberal, libertarian or authoritarian, they are all treated to the same due process. And they all eventually get busted because the Constitution provides for the masses to be protected from the violent lunatic fringe of society.

Even those who might post comments about how the biggest threat to our liberty is the US Government itself will be able to do so without fear of repercussions, so long as they don't assemble with clear intent to commit violent acts to overthrow that government. Not a bad country we live in! Certainly preferable to Islamic nations where women are treated as chattel and terrorists are role models to many.
