As if there were no Muslims survivors or family members of victims.

I'm not the one trying to destroy freedom of speech.

This is the problem, your methods are different, but you have the same agenda as extremist. YOU want to destroy freedom and prevent others from expressing themselves. You want you religion to be immune to any criticism.

I think they have a right to build a mosque there, but it seems like a terrible idea PR-wise.

No.

The city zoning authority should ban all religious properties in that area. That part of lower Manhatton should be used for business and other more productive uses.

WOW your comparing me to people that commit suicide and wrongfully kill people just because i have a difference of opinion? that sounds to me like your getting a little extreme... i never said i wanted to destroy freedom of speech, im an american, born here in the states, and i got the same rights you do. do u think im formulating a plot to take away freedom of speech, that would mean my own freedom of speech too. did u think of that or are you really that ignorant? do you even think about things before you write them?... yes, im trying to take away my own rights... nice way to make yourself look like you dont know what your talking about even more. I want my religion to be "immune" to any criticism? if this means defending what i believe in a non-violent way, then ya ill speak up for the way i live my life. ill speak up just as a person who supports abortion, or is pro-life does, or an environmentalist. that doesnt mean im trying to take away anyones rights. my methods are different? methods for what? for my freedom? to speak up to people like you who? to live life the way i want? id call that more of MY OPINION/MY CHOICE/MY FREEDOM. saying that i have "methods to take away freedom of speech or freedom" is a little extreme and i think anyone would agree. calling me an extremist? you should probably ask yourself who the REAL extremist is

Like I said - same agenda different tactics.

Without the freedom to criticizes, we would still think earth is flat, and crystal spheres make up the sky.

To preserve freedom of speech, you must be willing to criticize others.

June is more than aware just how emotionally laden, and thus, heated this topic/debate regarding the OP can be. However, the Terms of Service still need to be upheld, and rude, attacking, sarcastic posts are NOT tolerated.

Am re-opening this thread, but with the next attack/rude post, it goes....

And June hates having to close threads...But it's up to all of you. So:

Nice. Be nice!
