Anyone know of a good spot to host a wedding rehearsal dinner. I am getting married at reservoir pointe soon and still need a place. Preferably near the reservoir. I am looking at about 40 people.

Miller's 471 Grill (off Lakeland/471 - just outside of the Flowood City limits). They have a private dining room. You can order of the menu.

I remember going to a reception at Reservoir Pointe. Why can't they host both the wedding and the reception? Too big for such a small group?

Anyway, if Hearts of Madison is still open, you might want to check that out. Somebody walked us through, just before their grand opening, a while back, and it seemed perfect for a gathering that size. The front rooms are done-up Scandinavian-style, with crystal chandeliers and rustic plank walls. I think the oldest part of the building dates from the period when Mississippi was just a territory. I remember a kitchen area designed so that you can use that for entertaining, too. And there are two porches for the smokers. WeddingWire

A major advantage is that Hearts of Madison is in the Historic District, and so only few minutes from the Hilton Garden Inn. That would be convenient for out-of-town guests.
