Anybody know of any furnished apartments in the area that may be available for short term leases? By the time I spend a couple months in an extended stay hotel, I'm looking at 2,000/mo. We don't want to move our house twice, which is why I'm hoping to find something furnished. Even if not furnished, I guess I could invest in a cheap bed, chair and t.v. to get me through the summer.

furnished apt
Hey, you may already have found somewhere, but when my husband relocated here, he had a "corporate" furnished apt over at Ashford Place apts off Lakeland and Cooper. You might check with them. Also, I saw you were asking about eating places -- some of our favorites are Soulshine Pizza (off Lakeland), there is a Buffalo Wild Wings across the Spillway in Ridgeland if you need a wings fix, Sway's Bistro has some good offerings in the seafood/Cajun/steak dept. and good desserts, for a nice lunch or dinner for date time, we like "Walker's Drive In" over in Fondren (near Jackson downtown) - food is excellent and it's very retro atmosphere. Our favorite local BBQ is Smokehouse on 471 at Lakeland. Hope that helps.
