I was on Twitter earlier and saw some of the city leaders were at the grand opening today for the new restaurant combo. Jackson is the home to the first Fuddruckers/Luby's combo outside of Texas.

Has anyone been yet? I'll try Luby's sometime this weekend. I'd like to try a Fuddruckers burger, but my diet won't let me have it right now.

Fuddruckers is nothing special. I know I badmouth the Jackson area pretty hard but I dont have a problem pointing out the good things. One of those things is you can certainly get a good burger here. There are a few great places. I dont think Fuddruckers brings anything better to the party.

Luby's on the other hand, that might be an upgrade for the area. I think it is better than Piccadilly. Which is essential what it is. Same concept. A place to get a home cooked style meal that isnt quite home cooked quality. For people like me who eat out every meal, such a place is fairly appealing for that exact reason.

I just drove by it. It must've only been a grand opening ceremony because there's almost nobody there. The real opening was slated for 2/19, which is tomorrow.

Went to Fuddruckers today. Paid my bill at 2:05pm, received my food at 2:50pm.

Someone call Gordon Ramsey!

The burger was darn good. I'm not a fan of wedge fries, however. Drinks were bottomless. I will go back, once they get their kitchen in order.

A 45-minute wait? Maybe because it was the first day. Were there a lot of people there today?

I plan on trying Fuddruckers, but I think I'll wait a couple of weeks so maybe it won't be so busy. I'm not big on waiting that long for a burger. I don't plan on trying Luby's only because I'm not a fan of the cafeteria style restaurants, but I'm glad that people that are now have a new spot besides Piccadilly.

It was packed, and I was there at 2pm when it should have been a slow time. Luby's looked crowded also.

The delay in getting food was not due to the crowds however. They have plenty of cooks and plenty of grills, they just didn't have their act together. They'll get it shaken out soon, I imagine.

It's been awhile since I've been to Piccadilly's, but the one in the Jackson Medical Mall is horrible. I used to work in the mall and went there a time or two. I haven't been there since I stopping working there seven years ago. I also hope Luby's is better than Ryan's. Their food also sucks.

The Piccadilly's at the Jackson Medical Mall is GREAT! I find that a lot better than the one on Interstate 55 North at LeFleur's Bluff Shopping Center.

The one at LeFluer's Bluff was the better one to me. Maybe, the JMM location has improved, but I haven't been back there to know.
