Most likely, because Ridgeland & Jackson already work together to keep the County Line corridor a desirable place. JFP ran an article not too long ago about both police departments working together on BOTH sides of the county line.

The city released a list of neighborhood streets that will be paved using funds from the Community Development Block Grant.

City of Jackson, MS - Official Website

It's a start.

Good news! Most of these are in South Jackson, so maybe they're gonna work their way up. I will say, that I was pleasantly surprised when they paved the intersection of Ridgewood & Ridgewood Court, THEN they paved the intersection of Ridgewood & Adkins! The only other intersection I'm still waiting to be paved over is Canton Mart & Old Canton, it's bumpy as crap! Plus Ridgewood needs to be repaved from Adkins to Old Canton, & Canton Mart needs to be repaved too!

Canton Mart may need to be reconstructed, a la Fortification Street. That's the plan for State Street. I also want State at Presto Lane repaved.

They actually plan on reconstructing North State Street? That would be great for certain sections of it.

IIRC, the section from Sheppard Rd. (near the old Jackson Golf World) to Seneca Street in Fondren is to be reconstructed. I think they need to go up to Briarwood, if not up to Beasley Road.

Briarwood between North State & I-55 is horrible!

Yes it is. I still don't get how our leaders in the past allowed our roads and pipes to get this bad.

I thought most of it was in part because of Yazoo clay.
