1) Do not go outside (especially if your new blond dye-job turned out "too brassy").

2) Don't be on drugs.

3) Do not get in the car.

4) Do not drive to West Jackson.

5) Do not attempt to snatch young females into the car with you (especially if you're old, and fat, and white, and your new hair color says "Easter Peeps" http://www.brandfreak.com/images/Mis...ionalPeeps.jpg, when you'd been hoping it would say "Lasse Matberg" http://i.imgur.com/euAxpt8.jpg.)

6) Do not attempt to back your car over any police officers. They really don't like that.

7) Do not attempt ANY of these things, while nude, in some cheap little piece-o'-Toyota.

Congrats on the Trump win, GG. I'm sure your mood has been elevated by some degree for the past 40 hours or so.

Indeed, Rock Climber: I'm feeling positively DEPLORABLE! (not to mention adorable and incorrigible). And frankly, I'd forgotten how exhausting dancing the Can-can can be. There've been a number of Can-can kick lines in Madison, with people dancing in the streets (if you count private gated ones...). People were sending video back and forth, of themselves dancing "in the streets", from Beverly Hills, Cap Ferrat, Shreveport, Odessa (Tx), Odessa (Ukraine)... We settled for dancing in the orchard allée running across the meadow from our house to our daughter's. Lake O' is more trumpish than the rest of Portland. But still, we couldn't exactly go out in public to celebrate.

I wish we'd been in Madison, on Election Night, because the whole town is full of Trumpkins, and the mood has been euphoric (according to Bitsi, Izzi, and Babette). But we didn't want to be too far from a plane capable of getting us off the continent, should things have gone awry.

I hope you, too, found the election enjoyable.

And thank you, GrampaTom, for your input! That's exactly why I started this thread! I did so, in order to help people decide what to do in Jackson (or not to do...). People used to ask, all the time, what there was to do in Jackson. Nowadays, they mostly ask how far out from Jackson their hotels need to be, to be safe. But yes: hopefully, I've helped reform the weekend plans of a few menfolk.

I wanted to use your moniker too! It shouldn't be hard to find one.

I would have liked to have celebrated with your friends in MS. because here, in most of CA, paying tribute to a Republican must be done in secrecy. Under the cloak of darkness. If someone were to ask, "Why are you wearing that party hat, smiling, and doing the Can-can for crying out loud?" I would be forced to lie and say, "Why, I'm celebrating the legalization of recreational cannabis and that porn stars aren't required to use condoms!!"

This little video illustrates what can happen to reckless Trump supporters.

8) Be present in front of another person, even a heterosexual spouse *UNLESS* it's for procreative purposes and you are sure there is a high chance of pregnancy. (Certain super-nosey religious types can get a bit uptight about sex around there).

OK, OK, That is an exaggeration, even by Southern Baptist standards. Truth be told, while finger-wagging moralists are still not that hard to find, most people will just ignore what they have to say. Premarital sex and binge drinking are as common in Mississippi as any place else. For all their praise and glorification of Jesus and God Almighty, most people's devotion is a mile wide and an inch deep.
