The Metrocenter Mall closed in August. I’m surprised it stayed open as long as it did.

I don't think anyone foresaw South/West Jackson falling so quickly. It was s still a decent community up until the early 90s, but completely went to heck in 5-10 years. In the mid-90s Bryam was sold as the "new Madison," that didn't work out either.

There hasn't been a Metrocenter "crowd" in about 20-30 years.. hence why it's closing.

Bryam is not a bad place, it just didn't live up to it's billing as the new Madison. It became the new Terry instead.
I understand a Chick Fil A is coming to Bryam. That's big time for a town in MS!
