The two carjackings began on leafy Arlington Street, on the good end of the Belhaven District. https://www.google.com/maps/@32.3194...7i13312!8i6656 Despite its repulsive name (which reeks of the part of the country - the DC metropolitan area - where the bad people live), it's a lovely street: running between brainy Millsaps College, and not-so-brainy (but lovely) Belhaven University. Arlington has no "bad end", hanging into some slum. The Perps would have entered via State Street, to get at their victims.

Jackson Jambalaya: Belhaven Carjackings End in Death

Multiple entities patrol the area - more than I can keep up with. Someone said that FIVE entities now patrol Belhaven. And still, this sort of thing happens - a lot. Residents of Greater Belhaven, now pay extra taxes, to live in a Community Improvement District. You see how well that's working.

It's SO sad to see that young Jakobi Beauchamp lost his life during this event. So much promise... Does anyone know of his ambitions, his dreams, his ability to make one laugh, his love of football, or, perhaps, of his budding career in music? Did he make any music videos, before his untimely passing? ...any Facebook livestreaming?

Is Jakobi a victim of a Jacking, or one of the Carjackers, dresses like a fellow who wants to not be recognized .

So, the Capitol police are now responsible for patrolling up in the Belhaven area and are getting emergency calls from that area? The 2nd article says that Capitol police also assisted with the crash scene at Northside Drive & Bailey Avenue. Back when I worked downtown for the State, the Capitol police really never seemed to venture outside of the area of the Capitol, Woolfolk building and the MDOT buildings between Lamar Street, West Street and President Street. They were fairly useless, as my car was broken into in a State parking lot in broad daylight and none of them noticed it.

It is presumed that Jakobi was one of the carjackers. But one frequently learns that many among Jackson's slain-young-men had promising careers as Rap artists. Such was the case with Battlefield Gucci (CAUTION: Rap Lyrics ahead): https://www.google.com/search?q=Batt...id:O6iA3TbBAY8 (As I remember it, the tricked-out red 7-Series in this video, was used in the very drive-by shooting, at the fabled Laxmi gas station/convenience store, which claimed Battlefield Gucci's promising young life. The Laxmi Station is the virtual nexus of all that is great about Jackson's Rap Scene). And let's not forget L'il Lonnie, who was gunned-down in his car, but not before he recorded such Rap greats as (CAUTION: Rap lyrics ahead): https://www.google.com/search?q=L%27...id:5yT3d96WCF0
And let's not forget to mourn the enormously-talented "J Skillz" Ricks, who was found murdered in Canton, a few years back (CAUTION: more Rap lyrics and situations ahead):

However, even in the face of the news that someone in a Dodge Charger, has just been found shot-to-death, in the 'Tigerland' section of Jackson State University (A Charger! Who would have ever expected to find someone shot-to-death in a Charger?), we should all take comfort in the breaking news that the man convicted of shooting L'il Lonnie, has had his appeal denied. At least there is justice for L'il Lonnie!

Yeah, but Chief Bo Luckey is one goodlookin' man! As Madeline Kahn said, in 'Young Frankenstein', Woooooof! In those moments when there's no visible product in his hair, he's devastatingly-hot. I mean, with that beard, and that body, and that voice, and that NAME... if they could distill Bo Luckey and put his essence in a bottle, I'd be sprayin' Eau de Bo all over myself, and be rollin'-around like a cat high on Catnip. And that (in a state where hunky Brett Favre, Brett DiBiase, and Paul Lacoste, have risen to such prominence) is what's truly important.

Default "at least" Eight People Hospitalized, After 4-Car Crash on Cooper Road

As if the bizarre coincidence of two stolen/car-jacked cars colliding with each other, were not enough, here's another example of what one faces, driving on the streets of Jackson, today.

My mind is boggled, trying to imagine how FOUR cars managed to crash, simultaneously, at the intersection of Cooper Road and Exchange Drive. https://www.wapt.com/article/four-ve...ckson/42210631

If headless chickens could drive cars, they couldn't do worse, apparently, than some residents of Jackson. In this case, I surmise that at least two drivers were ignoring the stop sign, at the moment of impact.

And considering the percentage of abandoned houses in the vacinity ( https://www.google.com/maps/place/Ex...!4d-90.2323219 ) I'm amazed that there even were four cars on the road, at the same moment.

…and nothing of value was lost. Except the car, that is.
