on the Jackson page on city-data it says the average rent is around the $650 area and housing is around 80,000 area, why is the rent so expensive and the housing so cheap.

Your average rent is more than ours here in Albuquerque but your housing is alot cheaper, Im just curious.

You probably wouldn't want to live in any of the houses that are under $80,000.
