To answer the OP's question, Grand Funk Railroad at Jax Landing .... Worth Seeing?

Yup. May not have been the exact sound as in the olden days, but definitely close enough to dredge up memories of high school days (so yeah I just dated myself :-)

Opening act (aka "warm up band") was 5x7 -- they're good (and they'll be playing again at the Landing next month as well as on the 4th).

We were there and Grand Funk Railroad was super........loved watching the drummer (being a former drummer myself). It was fantastic talking to/being around folks from our generation and age bracket!! Wife loved the show and she didn't listen to GFR that much back in those days. The "opening band" played great Doobie Bros hits and always love the hit, Born To Be Wild! Turned out to be an excellent concert! I was told the only original in the band is the drummer. He sure looked original to me!!
