JSIMMS3 So many thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures and tidbits of information about them. What a fascinating and beautiful area! They say if you're lucky enough to live by the shore, you're lucky enough. I agree! Can't wait until our turn comes to move to beautiful Jacksonville so I can see these things myself. Our 5-year Jacksonville plan now only has 4 years left, gods will we'll be relocating to the area then. I'm already so engrossed in the culture, beauty and adventure it has to offer. Your pictures showed a different view of the Jacksonville FL area which I was happy to see!

I live in Atlanta but just last week drove down to Jacksonville Mayo clinic with a friend and boy has it changed in the last few years. Dare I say it could be giving atl a run for it's money if it continues to grow. It certainly has changed downtown...when did Bellsouth building become Everbank? when did Independent life become Modis then become Wells Fargo. Anyhow I have always loved this port city and can't wait to see how it grows in the next 20 years.

Beautiful..............ehhhh. Remember they tore down the Jacksonville Landing (nice faciilty) but hard to keep occupied, then some knucklehead shot the place up during a video game conference.
For those that don't know the area:

I have been in Jacksonville off/on for the last 15 years. The river is wonderful, the homes can be awesome. However they do have a lot of urban areas that are rough. I looked at homes there as recently as this month that I consider a steal for what they are. I love that it is close to the GA line, love that it is a big city (actually largest city by sq mile in the USA, bigger than London!). They recently just opened a Bentley dealer so somebody thinks it is up and coming.

The business I'm considering would explode in JAX due to it's location and abundance of large square footage warehouses.
