Hopefully relocating to Jax from Dallas, probably going to rent for the first year. Looking for somewhere nice with a good population of young single professionals, nice bars and places to eat, close to water would be a plus. Budget would be 1200 give or take a little.

Thanks

The San Marco area of Jacksonville comes to mind. It has a lot of rentals in that price range along wuth singles in your area. There is a nice town square area with a fountain and smart little shops. This area is also pretty close to the beautiful St. Johns River.

I would check out the beach. If I was single I would live in Ponte Vedra because you would only be about 15 mins to the clubs when you wanted to go out.

Oh wait lol when I was single I did live there

How is the traffic in and around PV? Is it hard to get to other places around the city? Major highways close?

I drive all over for my job

traffic isn't all that bad, from PV there aren't too many choices to get around, 99% of the time you would use JTB(202) to get out of the area. Living in PVB you just deal with the fact that it takes 15 minutes or so to get out of here

Any good links to rentals in that area?

Will $1200 a month get me close to the water?

define close, if you want to be close to the water, < 1/4 mile, and can only spend 1200, you'll need to go to JAX beach or north. In PVB 1200 will get you within a mile or so of the beach but there is little parking at the beaches here in PVB so what good is it?

another poster said they were looking into the Boardwalk apts on Ponte vedra blvd and remmington apts. both PV. the are both just on the west side of A1A
A1A is the "divider" per say
North PVB is only a few mintues to JTB the farther south you go in PV the longer it will take you to "get out"

go to this link it is a map of the area zoom out and you will see the area you can get an idea

611 Ponte Vedra Lakes Blvd, Ponte Vedra Beach, FL 32082, USA - Google Maps
