We are thinking of moving to Jacksonville and have been researching Ponte Vedra. I would like to spend about $350,000 or less and of course would like a steal. Any advice on what i could expect for that price range? I want good schools only for the stability of the area but we no longer have children at home. I would like a really nice development if you have suggestions. Any better area for us than Ponte Vedra?
Thanks for any advice...

You're going to get more for your money in PV rather than PVB. $350K will probably get you a 3-5 bedroom house around 3000-3500 sq feet.

We live in Nocatee and we really like it here. At that price range, you could look in Austin Park and Willowcove neighborhoods. Both are really nice!

There are many beautiful areas and developments in the PV and PVB area in your range. When looking at real estate listings, factor in that you'll offer 5 to 10% less than the listing price. If you're paying cash, try offering even less. It's working for us!

Nocatee and Palencia are both very nice neighborhoods. Walden Chase is a very nice neighborhood, it's not gated though. Not that you really need a gated community in PV. You'll find a decent house for that price, 3+ bedrooms and lots of space. All there neighborhoods are new construction. Also, alot of these neighborhoods the houses are pretty close together. I don't know if you we're looking for a little of land with house, if so, you'll have to look outside "neighborhoods". Palm Valley Road, and Ponte Vedra Blvd. have lots of places to consider!
I know you said you don't kids in the house, but it's always good to know that you are in a good school district. Far better than Jacksonville and even St. Augustine.
