Its ok if your not right by the pier. Its the central "hangout" for everyone (anyone from bums, locals from the trailer park, tourists, and locals). Kinda nasty by the pier. Just down the beach there are plenty of "chill" spots on the beach to relax All the restaurants and bars are near the pier (all 3 of them!). Flaglr beach andPalm coast in general has very few places to eat and hangout. I would highly recommend staying 30 minute north in St. Augustine. Many more places to eat, drink, hangout. Its still a relatively small town (especially ST. Aug Beach) but has its historic charm and places to go (thing to do!)

Flagler Beach is definitely safe, but as far as nightlife, it's a small town so there isn't much. It's a relaxing, laid back place though. You'll probably have to drive to Daytona or St Augustine for any real night life.

At least you'll just have to take a leisurely ride down A1A until you reach Daytona.......

FB is a small, quiet town. Not much nightlife, it practically closes up around 9:00, but there are plenty of happy hours. A quick count gives me eight, at least. All with an ocean view, if that matters to you.

What else do you like to do?

We moved to this area in April from SWPA, which didn't have much to offer in the way of nightlife. I am very happy here, it an easy lifestyle. The weather is beautiful. The rents are reasonable.

C'mon down!

FB is one of the best kept secrets around. My guess is because the beaches are not the best, but are perfect for what I need. A great safe beach town.
