OMG! I can't believe this Terry Jones guy is this stupid! I sent him an email through his website, doveworld.org. So he wants to make a point and now innocent people are dead. I hope you're happy, Terry. Idiot!!

Here's the story: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110402/ap_on_re_as/as_afghan_un_attack (broken link)

Hmm, so the pastor should be locked up for expressing his freedom of speech? I'm not saying I agree with what he did but really?

So you really think these people killed others just because of this? They're killing people who don't believe what they believe regardless of what this pastor--or anyone else--is doing/saying. They want us to believe what they do. We want them to believe what we do. Unfortunately, some of them are more radical in what they're willing to do if we don't believe what they want us to believe.

The killings of these workers is horrible but it's certainly not the pastor's fault--regardless of how stupid he was for doing what he did.

Here's another article describing more deaths and violence sparked by Terry's Quran burning:
Quran protests spread to turbulent Afghan east - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110403/ap_on_re_as/as_afghanistan - broken link)

From the article:
"The Taliban said in a statement emailed to media outlets that the U.S. and other Western countries had wrongly excused the burning of the Quran as freedom of speech and that Afghans "cannot accept this un-Islamic act.""

Nice work Terry. What did you hope to gain by burning the Quran? People are paying for it with their lives. Was it worth it?

This is ridiculous. The people that are killing people over this pastor's action would be killing people regardless. They are just looking for an excuse to kill people. If a muslim burned the Holy Bible, you are not going to see me go kill someone over it. The pastor shouldn't be locked up over burning a book, even if it is a holy book. It is freedom of expression.

The pastor used very poor judgment. He has the freedom to express himself. He did nothing against the law. Some people say he's intolerant and a bigot...well look at the radical muslims that are committing so many atrocities..they are the intolerant and bigoted.

What a silly argument! Because we Americans have the freedom to express ourselves and are protected under the law doesn't mean it is okay to offend other people who are over-sensitive about their own religion just to express ourselves. You can be within the law and still be dead wrong.

The pastor didn't just use poor judgement. The man is an idiot.

So you are saying that it is okay for us to be no different than the muslims because they too are intolerant and bigoted. That doesn't say alot for us who believe that. It is plain stupid to think that way.

There are approximately 1.5 billion Muslims in the world today. That's nearly a quarter of the world's population. Most of them are nice people. It's only a tiny percentage, the radical extremists, that are causing the trouble with their ridiculous violent behavior.

Excellent point! Wasn't my intention to indict all Muslims. Should have worded it differently. Thanks. My point was that the idiot pastor should not be reacting to the radical extremists by being radical and extreme himself. He is no better.
