Any opinions on Thunderbolt Elementary School on Fleming Island? Regarding teachers, curriculum, extra-curricular activity, quality of education, and other notable information?

There is a site that has info on schools nation wide. It includes info such as extracurricular activity, grade improvements, as well as parent reviews. (GreatSchools.net) Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info. On paper, the school looks excellent. I was debating upon sending her to Annunciation Catholic School but it is about 15" away.

I will try a 'commute' to feel the pain of driving there and then to work.....

You have a top-notch private school near you that you might want to take a look at - St. Johns Country Day. It is one of the top private schools for our region. I believe you can even have their private bus pick her up and drop her off so you don't have to worry about driving.

We have a few recent threads on it too.
