Any recommendations for senior/retiree communities in St. Augustine?

I'm recently retired and looking to buy an apartment, condo or patio home (something with no landscaping responsibilities) in a community for adults for under $200k. Any suggestions?

I am not aware of any exclusively senior adult communities in St. Augustine.

Wasn't there a retirement mobile home community out by the county golf course out on 206? I belive thats what someone told me once when I was playing golf down ther a couple of years ago. Just to the west of the course. Or I guess Riverwood by DEll Webb in Nocatee would be the closest retirement community, if not.

Madcap is correct. I totally forgot about that one. It is Coquina Crossing. It is a newer manufactured home community (not a true mobile home park). They have many amenities and the homes are very nice and more spacious inside than you would expect. There are restrictions on the type of dog you may have living with you. It may be difficult to get a mortage loan or insurance on them. Perhaps that is why "for sale" properties linger for a long-time before being sold. I know several people who live there and they are very happy. Here's a link to the community.

Yes! Manufactured homes is more apt, as they did not have wheels and they were not off the ground 4 feet (more or less) like mobile homes are.

Citysearcher would also have to be aware that even though the WGV area has a St. Augustine zipcode, it is really far out there. Not very close at all to downtown St. Augustine, the beach or the all important Super Walmart :-)

Isn't WGV and Nocatee both about the same distance from St. Augustine, and aren't they both about the same distance to Jax?
