It's more of a sugar/salt mixture. No caramel or toffee mixed in, but that does sound really good, right now.

The saying lets blow this popcorn stand (or in this case popcorn joint) is just a funny/cute/different way of saying ... Let's leave this boring place as soon as possible. Or nothings is going on here, lets move on.

Headed to Denver Colorado. I will have plenty to do, camping, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, sledding, hiking, white river rafting, fishing, hunting, and the list goes on and on and on!

FSU, I know you are Mr. Urban himself, but the downtown Denver is a REAL downtown with a lot to do. I was there on a weekday, at 8pm and there were TONS of poeple walking the streets, shopping, eating, movies, bowling, free buses to take you around town, a light rail, it was a REAL HAPPENING downtown! I didnt even have the feeling I was going to be robbed either!

I know thats what you wish Jacksonville would turn into but it seems like its got a LONG way to go even be half that nice. I do understand your liking to that lifestyle now though!

Denver is nice, I enjoy my business trips out there even when they send me in January.

What part of town are you settling in?

I wish you the best, man. You have been unhappy for a long time. Remember though that for some of us folks, it's "been there, done that". Happiness is largely a state of mind.

Wife and I lived south of Denver, in Englewood then Parker, for 5 1/2 yrs. I worked a mile north of the downtown area. Pending people's age/health status, the winters there can be brutal at times! I've still got photos and video of not just inches of snow, but FEET of snow as well. We did love living there and done plenty of things, but the winters finally got to us and to the two surgeries that I had (hip replacement and rotator cuff). If we could own two homes, I think having one there as a summer home would be great.
Breckenridge is a super ski resort (drove by it) and having three "pro-sports" teams there is a cool thing as well. Went into Rocky Mountain State Park a number of times. You gotta see the Elk "rut"! I've got photos/video of those things as well.
Good Luck!
