Any thoughts? I'm considering Vystar and 121 Financial since I favor credit unions and these are both among the larger ones locally.

Any other institutions to look into? Thanks!

I highly recommend Vystar, as I have been with them since they were Jax Navy CU back in the late 60's early 70's. I have financed at least 20 family vehicles with them. And since 2004 when I moved the farm account there, maybe 10 or so farm vehicles (from pick-up trucks to a couple of John Deere tractors) with never any problems...ever!

I would say First Atlantic, but for availability Vystar is a good choice. First Atlantic would be more geared towards business though. Good Luck

Someone left me an anonymous comment recommending community first. I love Community First!! But since I do all my personal banking there it was recommended to me that I keep my business accounts at a different bank. Maybe too paranoid?

If you are already with Community First and happy, I say use them. Just get a business account seperate from you personal accounts. If your business is incorporated, what happens to one account shouldn't affect the other.

Hm, that's kinda what I assumed. I already have two separate personal accounts there (one is jointly held with my dad) and we (my business partner and I) are registering as an LLC. So I figured it wasn't a problem, but my partner said that it was possible for creditors to access my personal account information if it was at the same bank as the business account. And in certain instances a person could sue me personally rather than the business if that's what they're after.

Me. And my partner who suggested it. But I'd rather be safe (and paranoid) than sorry, yeah?

I think it's a good business practice to keep your business bank accounts at a completely different financial institution from personal accounts. What if one bank fails, and that one bank has all your banking business? Just a thought. I don't think you're being paranoid.
