Bring on Tebow. He will do the Jags good, he will put more behinds in the seats and that in turn will help to boost the team. He is not as bad as the haters say. Bring 'im on!!!

Could anything he does possibly be worse than what this year's team has done? Robyn

Yes, it could be a lot worse. Tebow would bring the circus to town, with him.

The Jags head coach wants to keep his job. In order to do that, he needs to win. Mularkey doesn't get paid to 'put fans in the seats.' He gets paid to win. If he does that, the fans will come, regardless of who's playing QB. Tebow won't bring wins, so he won't play for Mularkey.

Other than Josh McDaniel, no one in the NFL thinks Tebow can make it as a QB. What does it tell you that Elway dumped him? I'd say that John Elway knows a little bit about playing QB in the NFL. What does it tell you that after Denver dumped him last year, the only teams that wanted him were the Jets and the Jags? That's 2, out of 32 teams. What does it tell you that this year, the only team that wants him is the Jags? Look at our recent history with player evaluations. Probably the worst in the entire league. And now, we're the ONLY team that wants to give him a tryout. I'd say, the fact that we're the only team that wants him, and we're the worst talent evaluators in the league, ought to tell you something.

And don't start with the "he's won wherever he's been' garbage, either. Most NFL players have won wherever they were, leading up to the NFL. That's not unusual.

Look at how much better Denver is this year, with a real QB. They won last year, in spite of Tebow, not because of him.

Here are the scores of the Denver games last year, with Tebow at QB.
18-15
10-45
38-24
17-10
17-13
16-13
35-32
13-10
23-41
14-40
03-07
29-23
10-45
243-318

When your team is winning games 18-15, 17-10, 17-13, 16-13, and 13-10, it's pretty obvious that the defense deserves more of the credit, than the QB does.

And during Tebow's time with the Gators, they had more NFL talent, than any other team in college football. Heck, the Gators had so much talent, they won a National title with Chris Leak at QB, and now Leak's been cut by the CFL, and can't even make the Jacksonville Sharks roster.

Remember the names Danny Wuerffel, Ron Dayne, Chris Weinke, Eric Crouch, Jason White, Matt Leinart, and Troy Smith? All great college players, all Heisman Trophy winners in the past 16 years, all winners wherever they played, and all total busts in the NFL. How come no one's complaining about the raw deal all of those guys got? They all got their shot, and when they couldn't cut it, they were gone. Just because you win in college, doesn't mean you are guaranteed multiple opportunities in the NFL.

Tebow had a nice run in college. He should walk away before he makes everyone forget those glory years, and only remember the gory NFL years.

All the so called experts on this board that are slurping Tebow are doing it because they're Gator fans, or they're religious fanatics who think that 'he's one our own.' There's no common sense behind it. So, Tebow and the circus will come to town, all the Gator fans, and religious fanatics will scream for him to play. Whether he gets to play or not, the experiment will fail, and that will be the final nail in the Jags coffin, on their way out the door to LA, London, or wherever.........

And Tebow can go back to being a Mohel, in the Philippines.

Nobody is complaining about them because they never won at the NFL level. Tebow has.

You can make excuses about it being the defense or whatever but he was still the QB and still had them in a position to win. He also came back in many of those games. Yes the defense helped a LOT but that's not his fault he had a good defense.

You can't take away what he has done.

Oh, I'm also not a religious fanatic, a Gator lover or a Tebow lover. I'm just looking at this objectively. You, OTOH, are just a Tebow hater, just as bad as the others you've described.

Bottom line which I THINK everyone can agree on is we need a quarterback we can start building a team around. We cannot continue to be in a rebuilding year every year.

Tebow did well in Denver and it did not ruin the team dynamics as you can see the results this year with a change of quarterbacks.

From what I can see this team also lacks a real sense of urgency and fire, even Coughlin could not change this.

I am a BIG Doug Flutie fan and he never received his time to shine until late in his career. He had all the same qualities of Tebow, dynamic, motivated and did not fit the quarterback mold. He went down the same road as Tebow.....second string and when called to play he pulled off some pretty amazing things, and like Tebow he had plenty of detractors as well as Flutie fanatics.

Right now we have no clear starting quarterback, plenty of starters on IR and a lot of players who before a few weeks ago were at the bottom of the roster or practice squad.

Here's to a better year in 2013

Oh grow up. Tebow never had the Bronco's in a position to win. Their defense did. Tebow had nothing to do with the Bronco's holding the other team to 7 or 10 points, while they desperately waited for Tebow to somehow complete a pass. That's been proven this year, with the Bronco's far better performance, with a real QB. Tebow didn't win. The Bronco's defense won. That's why Elway was so quick to dump him. But, what does John Elway know about playing QB in the NFL, right?

And, I don't believe for one second, that you are unbiased. If Tebow was a black, atheist, from the University of California, you and all the other slurpers on this board, would be screaming about this move being another example of Jags front office stupidity.

But, you're right, that I don't like Tebow. It has nothing to do with anything other than the fact that he's terrible, and has been given consideration that no other putrid NFL QB has ever received.

Just because he seems like a 'nice boy', who happens to be Southern, a Gator, and a religious fanatic, doesn't mean he deserves any more opportunity then any other terrible NFL QB, before him.

The actions of ALL the knowledgeable people in the NFL, who are paid to make those decisions, speaks volumes.

I did not want the Jaguars to draft Tebow back when he came out of college, it just seemed like a dumb idea, but he did win games in Denver & I like Payton Manning a lot but I dont think the Broncos did Tebow fairly I think the Jets didnt do him right either. He deserves the chance to fail and then people can critic.

Sorry but you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

First of all, you don't know me or anything about me so to make assumptions about me or what/whom I would like/not like is just ignorant. I am unbiased on this subject--unlike you. I don't care if he's black, white, christian, muslim or worships a demon. I look at what he's done objectively.

You can't have it both ways about the defense. Yes, they put the team in a position to win, however, they still have to score in the end. You can't win a game 0-0 no matter how much you may hate the QB.

His record--the most important thing--does not lie and you cannot make it up no matter how much you want to.

Will he do the same thing in another city? I have no idea any more than you know he won't.

I hope you know more about football than Mohels. Mohels are Jewish people who do circumcisions:

Mohel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Whatever you think of Tebow - I doubt he'll ever be a Mohel . Robyn
