Anyone have recommendations on Tax Accountants for Rental properties? Bought two this year for the first time. I've always done my taxes with Tax packages, but I think I need assistance with the peculiarities of depreciation, etc.

I share office an office suite with a CPA, and they handle my personal/business taxes. I was very pleased with the outcome. Rebecca Perez, CPA, 472-8176. For what it's worth, I own a couple rental properties myself and turbotax produces a specific version that covers all this. I've always been able to manage so you may want to take a look before you pay someone.

I use Tax Act and it wasn't going deep enough. I was playing with the on line Premier Version of Turbo Tax, I was unsure whether it was going to do the trick either. I'll play some more.

If I had to guess, I'd say $150-250 for basic rates.

It's been my experience that most people who have rental properties do not actually pay taxes on the income. If you actually intend to do so, I suppose I commend you. I certainly don't do it...
