My boyfriend and I are moving to Jacksonville in a year or so from Savannah. We are in our early 20's, will be attending business college, and have serving/bartending experience. Can anyone help us out with good places to work that make alot of tips and also a good area to live?? I'm not sure if we want to be downtown or by the beach or in between, any suggestions please!!

Id say around the St Johns Town Center area or at the beach. Lots of restaraunts there. SJTC is central to everything and the restaraunts are always packed. There are a lot of places there that you could earn great tips. Im sure others will chime in, but if I was still a server and in college, Id want to live near the SJTC.

I lived in the Intercoastal area near beach blvd and san pablo 3 miles from the beach. Very nice area. Close to the beach. Reasonably priced. Nice neighborhoods. Close to the schools. Lots of local bars at the beach for bartending jobs.
