Last year, Jacksonville logged 82 murders, this was the first time the city has had under 100 murders.

Well, to be politically correct, JAX is like most big cities in the
USA. Like 'A Tale of Two Cities' I am reminded of August Wilson's
play 'Two Trains Running!' except I would add that the trains
always seem to be running in opposite directions.

Crime has gone down, however the whole Northside/Westside areas are still bad. Arlington's crime is continuing to rise as that part of the town is getting more run down. But SS has only gotten better

We've been here for 3 years and now live in SS. One nice thing they did on the Southside is put a freeway style overpass at Atlantic and Kernan. Now, if you're driving on Atlantic, you don't have to stop at Kernan at all. There's still a hundred other lights on Atlantic, but at least now there's one less.

I wish, one day, they'd take I-10 all the way to the beach. I know it
would be a PITA, but they should have done that in the first place. Why have a freeway that goes from LA to Jacksonville and stop it at downtown, 15 miles from the beach?

This is grossly incorrect.

How do you figure? I believe I-10 stops about 3 blocks from the beach at 4th Street. How convenient.
