What do you mean "You need to get your exposure up a bit" exactly?
I can't seem to find that dock.

If you look at the histogram in the top right of this image, you can see that the left side of it is down near the bottom, meaning it is underexposed. Since you took this picture at sunrise, the east side has more light than the west side, and your camera automatically adjusted the settings to account for the light on the right half of the image (for the most part). I'm not really sure what settings you could do on the camera to make it right, but it can easily be corrected in post processing using photoshop.

I believe your camera can show you the histogram while previewing pictures you've taken. Typically once you have pressed the "play" button (or triangle) to review images, you can press "disp" or "menu" to cycle through some different ways of displaying the image, and you can see the histogram that way, directly on your camera after you've taken the picture.
Well-said.

Don't know if you have a tripod but you'll need it for this kind of lower-light shooting. Learn to use the meter in the camera to expose for this. You'll need a slower shutter speed, larger aperture or higher ISO to get this one.

Go north on Rogero Rd all the way until it ends at the St Johns River/Ferber Rd, take a right on Ferber and go maybe 200 yards to the entrance to Lonnie Wurn boat ramp. Here's a link ... Lonnie Wurn Boat Ramp
