I just moved to Jacksonville few months ago. So far I should say one of the best cities ever to live in. I lived in NY ( upstate/manhattan/queens ) . Texas - Houston and I just love Jacksonville. I have gone through some tough times in the past and I was recommended to a therapist in Houston by a friend. The thing is I haven't been to a therapist in a long while and now that I have insurance I really want to since I know it'll help me a lot with my career and professional life.

You should be able to schedule a consultation and interview the therapist before you engage them. Some like to do this by phone and that's OK if you are comfortable with that. Find out what they are about and see if you click with them. Anyone can recommend a therapist they liked, but that doesn't mean they would work well with you. Check out the names you have. If you don't like them, they can recommend others to you.
